Honest rewards advice.
No corporate leash.

CreditCardRewards.com is the home of a free newsletter for people who are tired of reading credit card "reviews" that were bought and paid for before the first word was written. You deserve better.

The short version

I've spent the last 15 years churning through tens of millions of points and miles. I haven't flown longhaul economy since I started. I've booked lie-flat seats to Tokyo, overwater villas in the Maldives, and first-class suites that cost more than my car — all on points.

I don't say that to brag. I say it because when I tell you a card is worth your time, or more importantly when I tell you it isn't, I'm drawing on a decade and a half of actually working the system — not regurgitating a press release from an issuer's marketing team.

Why this exists

The biggest names in credit card media have a problem they don't talk about: the card issuers are their real customers, not you. When a site earns hundreds of dollars every time you click "Apply Now," the incentive to tell you the truth gets… complicated.

You'll notice it in the small things. Every new card launch is "exciting." Every sign-up bonus is "impressive." Devaluations get a polite paragraph instead of the outrage they deserve. The rankings mysteriously align with whoever's paying the highest commission that quarter.

I’d rather have 5,000 readers who trust me than 500,000 who don’t.

This newsletter exists because I got tired of reading advice I didn't believe from people who couldn't afford to be honest. I don't answer to any bank, issuer, or affiliate manager. If a card is bad, I'll say so. If a program is circling the drain, you'll hear about it here first — not six months later after the big sites have milked their last commission.

What you can expect

  • Real recommendations. I'll tell you which cards I actually carry in my own wallet — and which ones I cancelled after the first year.

  • Sign-up bonuses and devaluation alerts without the spin. When a program guts its award chart, I won't sugarcoat it to protect a business relationship I don't have. If a card is offering a sign-up bonus that’s not actually that great, I’ll tell you.

  • Strategy over hype. Less “Top 10 Cards for 2026” listical energy, more actionable advice on how to actually build and burn a points portfolio.

  • Transparency about money. This newsletter is free and (will some day be) ad-supported. If I use affiliate links and I'll always tell you when I do. But my recommendations come first — the business model works around them, not the other way around.

Free. Weekly. No nonsense.

Join and get honest credit card rewards news and advice every week. No sponsored rankings. No pay-to-play reviews. Just honest takes on which cards, strategies, and redemptions are actually worth your time — even when the answer is none of them.
