With no special spending categories to keep track of, this is an easy all-purpose card for those with new or average credit to use for everyday spending.

Review of the Capital One QuicksilverOne Cash Rewards Credit Card

The main virtue of this card is that will earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases, with no special spending categories to track. Although there are higher earning cash-back cards out there, your spending might not always fit into their bonus cash back categories. In that case, this is a good go-to card for any spending that doesn't fit into a specialty category on another higher earning card.  As your credit score improves, a good upgrade would be the Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Card, which also offers 1.5% cash back on all purchases, but doesn't have an annual fee.

The Bottom Line

If you don't qualify for the no-annual fee Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Card, this version of the card is still good for capturing cash back on your everyday spending and justifies the annual fee if you spend at least $2,750 a year or are simply looking to improve your credit score.
