For the frequent Hilton guest, this card offers a low cost way to earn 12X on Hilton stays, 6X on restaurant, grocery, and gas spending and 3X on other spending.

Review of the Hilton Honors™ Ascend Card from American Express

With a relatively low $95 annual fee, this card is a solid choice for loyal Hilton guests. Plus, because the welcome offer can reach as high as 100,000 points (depending on how much you spend), it could pay for your next vacation stay with Hilton, where standard rooms can be had for as low as 5,000 points.

The Bottom Line

This card offers a low cost ($95 annual fee) way to earn 12X on Hilton stays, but because points aren’t as valuable when transferred to airlines, its points are best used with Hilton.
