CreditCardRewards.com Review

Written by Amy 2 years ago

Best For...
This Allegiant mileage card benefits mainly couples or families living in smaller cities served only by Allegiant who plan to book at least one Allegiant vacation package a year.

Review of the Allegiant World MasterCard®

Allegiant specializes in serving smaller cities not served by the larger airlines. This card would only benefit cardholders living in such cities who travel as a couple or family who could benefit from the buy-one-get-one-free airfare offer by booking their entire trip with Allegiant (air, hotel, and rental car). But, since Allegiant base fares are already pretty low, this isn’t a huge benefit. Also, Allegiant is notorious for its fees -- including fees for processing credit cards, electronic carrier usage fees, $80 for guaranteed seat assignments, and up to $45 for baggage -- which virtually wipe out this card's benefits.

Also, this is the only way to partake in Allegiant's myAllegiant Rewards program, but again, this is one of the least rewarding airline loyalty programs out there, so we only recommend it to those who already fly Allegiant regularly.

The Bottom Line
Because of Allegiant’s high fees, we don’t recommend using this card for any Allegiant purchases other than the vacation package that earns you the buy one get on free airfare.

asked 2 years ago

A:  myAllegiant Rewardsâ„¢ points do not expire unless you close your Allegiant World MasterCard® account for any reason.
