CreditCardRewards.com Review

Best For...
This card is best for frequent flyers of the low cost carrier Frontier Airlines who would rather enjoy cheap fares than fancy travel perks.

Review of the Frontier Airlines World MasterCard

The Frontier Airlines World MasterCard offers 2x miles on flights purchased from the Denver-based Frontier Airlines and 1X on everything else. The generous 40,000 sign-up bonus miles are enough for two domestic round-trip economy tickets. Although it has a $69 annual fee, the bonus miles make up for it.

The best deals offered by Frontier Airlines are flights to the Caribbean and Central America, where a flight can be redeemed for only 30,000 miles.

Pro Tip:

If you’re a member of Frontier’s loyalty program, EarlyReturns, having the co-branded MasterCard will allow you to avoid some fees and keep miles from expiring.

The main drawback to the card is that the airline isn’t part of a larger network of partner airlines, so miles can only be redeemed for flights with Frontier.  Another downside is that Frontier is a low cost carrier which means no business or first class and plenty of extra fees, including fees for seat assignments and carry-on bags.

The Bottom Line
As long as you’re not looking for travel perks, this card is good for the frequent budget traveller who flies mainly in the U.S., Caribbean, and Central America.
